Bitcoin breaks back above $100,000 for 1st time in three months

The price of Bitcoin surpassed $100,000 for the first time since Feb. 7 due to the expected start of trade talks between the US and China.
The value of the global cryptocurrency market, including Bitcoin, reached $3.11 trillion Thursday, according to data from Coinmarketcap.
The price of Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, has risen by around 5.3% in the last 24 hours, exceeding $101,000.
Bitcoin, which was trading at $103,542 as of 2126GMT, has gained nearly 4% weekly.
Following an announcement that US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will meet with Chinese officials in Switzerland this week, the Chinese side also confirmed that Vice Premier in charge of economic affairs He Lifeng will meet with US officials.
