Turkey's daily power consumption up 11% on August 10

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 3,991 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 2,447 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased on Monday by 11% compared to the previous day to reach 904,410 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 41,927 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,589 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.

Electricity production reached 905,953 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a 12.2% increase compared to the previous day.

While electricity production from natural gas constituted 25.61% of total electricity consumption in Turkey on Monday, hydroelectricity power plants held a share of 22.08% and the share of imported coal was 18.33%.
