The average electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for the week ending January 21 increased by 2.39 percent to 188.81 Turkish liras compared to previous week ending January 14, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data on Sunday.
Last week the average electricity rate for one megawatt hour was calculated as 184.40 liras.
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for this week was 217.59 liras on Friday and the lowest was 118.69 liras on Thursday.
EXIST data for the trade volume in this week's electricity market totaled 576.02 million liras.
US$1 equals 3.78 liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
