Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 2.19% on Saturday compared to the previous day to reach 824,541 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time, reaching 37,402 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,991 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 829,598 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 2.26% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 27.3% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity plants comprised 15.8%, while imported coal power plants held a 13.4% share.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,595 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 9,590 megawatt-hours.
