Türkiye's daily power consumption down 11.3% on June 1

- Electricity exports amount to 6,757 megawatt-hours and imports total 5,300 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye decreased around 11.3% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 761,264 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 37,053 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 26,273 megawatt-hours at 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 762,721 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of about 10.3% compared to Saturday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 17.4% of total generation, while wind energy and lignite plants contributed 15.7% and 14.4%, respectively.
