Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye decreased 12.3% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 778,411 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 37,489 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,750 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 779,203 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 12% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from hydroelectric plants accounted for 17.1% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar plants contributed 14.7% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,000 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 7,208 megawatt-hours.
