Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye decreased 2% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 989,049 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,319 megawatt-hours at 10.00 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,320 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,002,566 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.6% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 23.9% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 23.3% and 13.4%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,352 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 793 megawatt-hours.
