Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye decreased 2.7% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,018,533 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,838 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,314 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,032,160 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of 2.7% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.6% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 23% and 13.1%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 14,468 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 841 megawatt-hours.
