Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 0.11% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 890,592 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,840 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,422 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 884,350 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 0.04% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 19.5% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants contributed 18.9% and 17%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,501 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,763 megawatt-hours.
