Türkiye's daily power consumption up 14.7% on March 4

- Electricity exports amount to 5,965 megawatt-hours and imports total 6,240 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 14.7% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 892,687 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,331 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,754 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 892,417 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 14.7% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 23% of total generation, while natural gas plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 20.6% and 20.2%, respectively.
