Türkiye's daily power consumption up 16.5% on Nov. 18

- Electricity exports amount to 16,028 megawatt-hours and imports total 455 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 16.5% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 939,325 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,789 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,805 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 954,898 megawatt-hours on Monday marking a rise of 15.5% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.3% of total generation, while imported coal plants and hydropower plants contributed 25.3% and 15.4%, respectively.
