Türkiye's daily power consumption up 17% on Feb. 10

- Electricity exports amount to 15,409 megawatt-hours and imports total 424 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased 17% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,030,257 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,780 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,315 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 1,045,243 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking an increase of 16.3% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.2% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 21.4% and 13.7%, respectively.
