Türkiye's daily power consumption up 17.3% on Oct. 21

- Electricity exports amount to 13,422 megawatt-hours and imports total 2,409 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 17.3% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 884,721 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,985 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,886 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT)

Electricity production amounted to 895,567 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 17% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 24.8% of total generation, while wind and hydropower plants contributed 17.3% and 12.6%, respectively.

On Monday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,422 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 2,409 megawatt-hours.
