Türkiye's daily power consumption up 19.5% on April 7

- Electricity exports amount to 11,291 megawatt-hours and imports total 5,696 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased by 19.5% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 911,420 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,744 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 28,559 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 917,022 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 19.3% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from wind plants constituted 18% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and imported coal contributed 16.8% and 13.7%, respectively.
