Türkiye's daily power consumption up 2.4% on June 4

- Electricity exports amount to 6,557 megawatt-hours and imports total 13,228 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased around 2.4% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 863,705 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,454 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,760 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 856,849 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 2.3% compared to Tuesday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 21.3% of total generation, while solar plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 16% and 13.3%, respectively.

On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,557 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 13,228 megawatt-hours.
