Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased 2.5% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,009,166 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,221 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,340 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 996,698 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a fall of 0.04% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.8% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 23.7% and 10.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,096 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 629 megawatt-hours.
