Daily electricity consumption in T眉rkiye increased around 2.9% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 938,894 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,440 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,312 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 938,735 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 3% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants accounted for 18.7% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 16.7% and 16.5%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,282 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 6,441 megawatt-hours.
