Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 4.22% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 650,999 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 33,082 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 21,207 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 694,245 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a rise of about 3.94% compared to Saturday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 24.1% of total generation, while solar plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 19.2% and 18.3%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 5,382 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 7,177 megawatt-hours.
