Türkiye's daily power consumption up 7.21% on June 9

- Electricity exports amount to 7,201 megawatt-hours and imports total 8,075 megawatt-hours

Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 7.21% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 697,988 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 35,757 megawatt-hours at 10 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 21,889 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

Electricity production amounted to 697,131 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of about 7.4% compared to Sunday.

Electricity production from imported coal plants accounted for 24.2% of total generation, while solar plants and hydroelectricity plants contributed 19.2% and 14.2%, respectively.

On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,201 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 8,075 megawatt-hours.
