-National Iranian Oil Company signs oil export deals with several European energy companies

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) inked new crude oil export deals with several European energy companies, Mehr news agency reported on Wednesday.

鈥淔ollowing the previously sealed contracts with companies like France鈥檚 Total, Iran鈥檚 crude will be sold to several new customers in the green continent, and the names of new buyers will be announced once the signed contracts become operational,鈥 Sayed Mohsen Ghamsari, executive director for International Affairs at NIOC said.

Tehran has already signed oil export deals with Russia鈥檚 Lukoil, French Total, Spanish CEPSA and Greek Hellenic Petroleum during the post-sanctions period.

Iran plans to raise its crude oil production to 4 million barrel per day (bpd) from the present 3.2 million bpd, and to increase oil exports to 2.5 million bpd as well.
