Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 8.66% to 262,536 tonnes in January 2020 compared to the same month of 2019, according to the latest data revealed by the country's energy watchdog.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that Turkey's imports came from Algeria, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Greece, Norway, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Russia.
Turkey's LPG production increased in January 2020 to 94,235 tonnes - a year-on-year increase of 14.52%.
Exports decreased by nearly 40.26% to 9,536 tonnes in January 2020 compared to January 2019.
Total LPG sales increased to around 325,224 tonnes in January 2020 with a 6.39% jump, including 262,617 tonnes of autogas, 54,560 tonnes of bottled LPG, and 8,045 tonnes of bulk LPG.
