- World's largest LNG buyer, regasification terminal operator, KOGAS joins Kosan Crisplant to develop LNG bunkering technology

Denmark鈥檚 Kosan Crisplant and South Korea鈥檚 state-owned gas company Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, Kosan reported on Tuesday.

The deal was signed by Anders C. Anderson, CEO of Kosan Crisplant Group and Jae-Young Her, KOGAS' vice president, during the Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.

According to the deal, the companies will collaborate to develop advanced technologies for LNG bunkering including high efficient boil off gas (BOG) treatment. Additionally, the companies will carry out pilot projects for LNG-fueled ships, LNG bunkering and small-scale LNG logistics business using ISO LNG tank containers.

"We're honored that the world's largest LNG buyer and regasification terminal operator, KOGAS, has seen potential in a cooperation with us. This proves to us that our position as one of the leading European players in the LNG business, when it comes to small-scale LNG solutions, is justified and that we are a force to be reckoned with," Anderson said.

Kosan Crisplant is Denmark鈥檚 global industrial supplier to the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry. The company supplies equipment, plants, systems and engineering services for the gas industry.

The company has supplied 2,650 plants in 129 countries since 1951.
