- Norwegian authorities grants Engie go ahead to drill in Norwegian Sea

French energy company Engie has been granted a permit to drill a wildcat well in the Norwegian Sea, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) on Tuesday

NPD said that the French energy firm received the permission for well drilling approximately 55 kilometers southwest of Floro, the westernmost town of Norway.

Engie is the operator with an ownership interest of 30 percent while other shareholders include Idemitsu Petroleum with a 30 percent interest, Wellesley Petroleum and Tullow Oil with a 20 percent share each.
