Turkey鈥檚 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) exports experienced a tenfold growth for July compared to the same month last year,聽聽the country's energy marketing watchdog said on Wednesday.
The country's LPG聽exports amounted to approx. 20,220 tons for July compared聽to the same month last year,聽with imports coming from聽Switzerland, Northern Cyprus, Greece聽and Turkey's free trade area,聽the聽report said.
LPG production in Turkey聽was 80,965聽tons for July 2015 and the country's聽refineries鈥� total聽LPG production amounted to around 80,965聽tons聽for July alone.
The monthly LPG聽imports for July聽increased by 27聽percent to about 342,559聽tons compared to July 2014, according to the report released by the聽Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority.聽Turkey聽imported聽LPG聽from seven countries in July 2015聽鈥� the U.S., Russia, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Norway, Libya and Ukraine.
The amount of autogas sold in Turkey聽over the same period was 397,041聽tons.聽Additionally, 72,498聽tons of bottled聽LPG聽and 20,215聽tons of bulk聽LPG聽were sold to聽Turkish customers.
