Enerjisa Enerji achieves financial goals for 2024

- Turkish energy major says company to continue its investments in 2025 to accelerate energy transformation in Türkiye

Enerjisa Enerji, a Turkish electricity distribution and retail company, announced Thursday it met all its 2024 financial targets, reporting growth in key areas despite challenging economic conditions.

The company鈥檚 operating income rose to 41.2 billion Turkish lira, a 2.2 billion lira (approximately $60 million) increase year-over-year, Enerjisa Enerji said in a statement.

Enerjisa Enerji attributed the growth to strong performance in its core distribution business and expanding customer solutions.

The Turkish company invested over 13 billion liras in its energy distribution infrastructure in 2024.

鈥淏ringing together smart grid investments and effective use of technology with its vast experience, Enerjisa Enerji will continue its investments in 2025 to accelerate the energy transformation in T眉rkiye,鈥 it added.

While profitability in electricity retail saw an expected decline due to lower energy sourcing prices, the company increased its regulated and free market sales volumes by 7% and 32%, respectively.

The company's solar power plant installations saw substantial growth, with gross profit from solar projects increasing from 1.5 billion liras in 2023 to 5.9 billion liras in 2024. The annual installed capacity of solar power plant projects reached 102.4 megawatts peak (MWp), a 250% increase.

Esarj, Enerjisa Enerji鈥檚 electric vehicle charging subsidiary, expanded its network, increasing the number of charge sockets from 1,780 in 2023 to 2,563, a 44% rise.

Commenting on the company鈥檚 financial results, Enerjisa Enerji CEO, Murat Pinar, said: 鈥淎chievements in our business lines also prove our contribution to energy security and sustainability goals in T眉rkiye.鈥

Pinar also highlighted the company鈥檚 progress in solar energy and e-mobility as crucial for reducing the country鈥檚 carbon footprint and dependence on energy imports.

Philipp Ulbrich, CFO of Enerjisa Enerji, emphasized the company鈥檚 strong financial performance.

The company increased its operating income in real terms by 6% compared to the previous year, Ulbrich added.
