- NATO Defense Ministers Meeting

Meetings of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at defense minister level will be held at NATO Headquarters on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday June 15, 2016. NATO defense ministers are expected to agree on a new multinational force for the Baltics region and Poland. Ministers will also discuss the agenda of the upcoming NATO Warsaw summits.

- Energy efficiency labelling

A proposal to apply the 鈥淎 to G鈥� label scale for energy-efficient household products throughout the EU will be put to a vote in the European Parliament鈥檚 Energy Committee on Tuesday. A digital database of new products placed on the EU market is also proposed to enable buyers to check that they comply with energy efficiency label rules.

- State of EU economy

The European Parliament鈥檚 Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee will discuss the state of the European economy and the achievements under the Dutch Council Presidency with ECOFIN chair Jeroen Dijsselbloem on Tuesday.

- Turkey report

The European Commission is expected to present a new report on Turkey鈥檚 anti-terror law on Tuesday.

- UN-EU talks

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will visit Brussels and meet with President of the European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker on Tuesday.

-Greek bailout

The Eurogroup will meet in Luxembourg on Thursday to discuss state of the Greek economy and the reform program. The Eurogroup is expected to free up the next branch of the bailout fund for Greece.

-EU鈥揜ussia relations

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday.

-ECOFIN

Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) will meet in Luxembourg on Friday. The Council will be called upon to agree on a proposal for an anti-tax avoidance directive. The draft aims to address some of the practices that are most commonly used by large companies in order to reduce their tax liability. The Council will take note of progress achieved on the proposal for the European deposit insurance scheme and on further risk-sharing and risk-reducing measures needed to further strengthen the EU's banking union. The Council will review the state of play on a proposal for a directive introducing a financial transaction tax.
