Real War Journalism Training
is in Türkiye with Anadolu Ajans覺!
People read all the news, as well as wars, natural disasters and other social events, from the writings of reporters and see them through the eyes of photojournalists and cameramen. Journalists, on the other hand, have to prepare all these news and images under the most difficult conditions, at the expense of their lives. To date, many reporters around the world have been taken hostage, injured or lost their lives while reporting such news.
For this reason, reporters who will undertake such missions must first of all learn to survive in such environments. But unfortunately, most media workers around the world do not know how to survive and how to behave in war environments. None of the media organizations should send reporters to the scene of events who have not received special training or certificates for war and natural disasters. Anadolu Ajans覺 is one of the leading institutions that does not send reporters who have not received war correspondent training to regions where extraordinary situations are experienced.
"War Journalism Training", which is given by only a few institutions in the world to help reporters learn what to do in extraordinary situations, has started to be given in Turkey since 2012, in cooperation with Anadolu Ajans覺 and the Police Academy. The General Directorate of Security, the Turkish Armed Forces and the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency support the training with their trained educator staff. During the training, which is given by academicians, professional security forces and experienced reporters, all of whom are experts in their fields, real ammunition is used, all environments where extraordinary situations can occur are created for the participants, and the lessons are taught to the trainees by "living them".
During War Journalism Training, 26 separate courses are taught, from journalism to personal security, from the law of war to first aid, from advanced driving techniques to water survival, from chemical and biological attacks to media management in extraordinary situations. The training lasts 12 days and the program is implemented for a total of 108 hours, 62 hours of which are practical.
The War Correspondence Training Program, in which successful trainees receive an internationally recognized War Correspondence Certificate, opens its doors to participants not only from Turkey but from all over the world.
