Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Jakarta on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Indonesia, according to the state-run Xinhua News Agency.

During his stay in Jakarta, Li will meet with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral issues and regional issues during their meeting on Sunday, according to Antara News.

“This upcoming meeting reflects the two nations’ shared commitment to strengthening and advancing their bilateral ties and cooperation in various strategic areas,” said Yusuf Permana, a deputy of Indonesia's Presidential Secretariat in charge of protocol and media relations.

Following his Indonesia visit, Li will also travel to Malaysia to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Gulf Cooperation Council-China summit in Kuala Lumpur on May 26-28.
