Turkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 5.5% to 245,922 tonnes in December 2021 compared to the same month of 2020, according to the latest data from the country's energy watchdog.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that Turkiye's imports came from the US, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Greece and Russia.
Turkiye's LPG production in December 2021 increased to 86,295 tonnes, marking a year-on-year rise of 10.7%.
Exports also rose to around 26,748 tonnes in December last year, showing a jump of 78.1% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Total LPG sales in December 2021 decreased by 2.4% to around 264,646 tonnes, comprising 207,418 tonnes of autogas, 48,459 tonnes of bottled LPG, and 8,768 tonnes of bulk LPG.
