Israel launches wave of strikes on missile sites in western Iran
Israeli army says it is attacking 'surface-to-surface missile targets'

ISTANBUL
The Israeli military said Sunday it began a wave of airstrikes targeting missile sites in western Iran.
According to the army spokesperson, the Israeli Air Force “has begun a wave of strikes against dozens of surface-to-surface missile targets in western Iran.”
Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, on Friday, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes within hours. The attacks have continued since then, and also included gas and oil infrastructure.
Israeli authorities said at least 13 people were killed and more than 370 others injured in Iranian missile attacks.
Iran, for its part, said 128 people were killed and 900 others wounded in Israeli attacks that started on Friday.
