Drones intercepted before entering Israeli airspace, says military

JERUSALEM/ISTANBUL
The Israeli military said Tuesday that it intercepted two drones earlier in the evening that were “most likely from Iran.”
The drones were intercepted beyond the country’s borders, before breaching Israeli airspace, Israel's Kan radio reported.
The military assessed that the drones were likely launched in the early hours of the day around the same time as the launch of a surface-to-surface missile from Iran.
The development came as a ceasefire between Iran and Israel appeared to hold steady after a turbulent start as US President Donald Trump criticized both sides.
Israel accepted the ceasefire but later accused Iran of violating it by launching missiles.
It then warned of possible retaliation and reportedly targeted a radar station in Tehran before withdrawing its warplanes.
Trump said he did not believe the ceasefire was broken but expressed frustration with Israel for quickly violating the agreement.
“I'm not happy with Israel. When I say, ‘OK, now you have 12 hours,’ you don't go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have on them. So I'm not happy with them. I'm not happy with Iran either,” he said, according to CNN.
“But I'm really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning because of one rocket that didn't land, that was shot, perhaps by mistake, that didn't land. I'm not happy about that.
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the (expletive deleted) they're doing. Do you understand that?” he added.
