Israeli army kills 51 more Palestinians in Gaza, including dozens of aid-seekers
34 people killed by Israeli fire while seeking humanitarian aid in Gaza

ANKARA
The Israeli army on Wednesday killed 51 more Palestinians in several areas across the blockaded Gaza Strip, including 34 aid-seekers, as Israel’s genocidal war continued in the besieged Palestinian enclave, medical sources told Anadolu.
A medical source said 25 people lost their lives when Israeli forces opened heavy fire toward people waiting to get humanitarian aid near the Netzarim Corridor area, south of Gaza City.
Nine more people were shot dead by Israeli forces in Rafah in southern Gaza as they waited for food under an Israeli-crafted aid distribution mechanism.
According to Palestinian figures, more than 160 Palestinian aid-seekers were killed and nearly 1,500 injured by Israeli army fire in Gaza since May 27.
The Israeli aid distribution mechanism has been widely rejected and criticized by the international community, including the UN.
Meanwhile, Gaza's Civil Defense teams recovered 11 bodies following overnight Israeli airstrikes in various parts of the enclave, officials said.
Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli strike targeting civilians in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, a medical source said.
The Israeli army also killed four more Palestinians in a drone strike on a tent for displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing over 55,100 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
As Israel has continued to close all Gaza’s border crossings to humanitarian aid since early March, aid agencies have warned about the risk of famine among Gaza’s 2.4 million inhabitants.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
