Zelenskyy says Ukraine did not receive full prisoner exchange lists from Moscow

KYIV / ISTANBUL
Russia has not yet provided a list of prisoners to be exchanged despite an agreement reached during talks in Istanbul, the Ukrainian president said on Sunday.
In a video address, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv is doing everything possible to move forward with the exchange of prisoners and the return of fallen soldiers’ bodies.
“Unfortunately, the full lists from Russia for the exchange of over one thousand people, as agreed in Istanbul, have still not been provided."
The Ukrainian president emphasized Kyiv’s commitment to the exchange process.
“We believe we will be able to keep the exchange track moving forward. And for our part, we are doing everything we can to make it happen. And if the Russians fail to comply with agreements even on such humanitarian issues, it will cast serious doubt on all international efforts – in particular those of the United States – regarding negotiations and diplomacy.”
Zelenskyy also said preparations are underway for upcoming international summits, including NATO’s meeting in The Hague and the G7 summit in Canada, both scheduled for June.
“We must increase pressure on Moscow. We must strengthen sanctions,” he said.
Earlier, Russia's Lt. Gen. Alexander Zorin, part of the country's negotiating team to end the conflict, said Moscow is ready to honor all the accords for the transfer of dead Ukrainian servicemen and the exchange of prisoners-of-war.
He said Russia delivered the first batch of 1,212 bodies of Ukrainian soldiers to the exchange site at the border, adding that there were “signals” the process of transferring the bodies would be postponed until next week.
