- 8 dead, 208 injured in central, northern Israel as Iran launches fresh barrage of missiles
Iranian missiles have struck multiple locations in central and northern Israel, killing eight people and injuring 208 others, Israeli media reported early Sunday.
Around 50 rockets were fired at central Israel in the latest wave of Iranian attacks, according to Israeli Channel 12, killing four and injuring 195.
Four others were killed and 13 were injured in strikes on northern Israel, according to Israeli media reports.
- Israel strikes Iran’s Defense Ministry headquarters in Tehran
Israeli airstrikes targeted Iran's Defense Ministry's headquarters in Iran’s capital Tehran, the Iranian semi-official news agency Tasnim reported early Sunday.
The attacks targeted the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics headquarters in the Nobonyad area, causing slight damage to an administrative building.
Israeli forces also struck the Shahran oil depot near Iran's capital Tehran and a smaller facility in southern Tehran, Iranian state news agency ISNA reported .
- At least 102 killed in armed attack in northern Nigeria
At least 102 people were killed in a pre-dawn attack on a community in Benue State in north-central Nigeria, local officials and witnesses said.
Armed men, suspected to be criminal herders, stormed the Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area late Friday night and continued the assault into the early hours of Saturday.
“We have lost no fewer than 102 people, and over 100 others are in critical condition at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) in Makurdi,” said Dennis Denen Gbongbon, president of the Association of United Farmers Benue Valley, in a phone interview with Anadolu.
