Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which both leaders expressed deep concern over the rapidly escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.

Putin confirmed Moscow’s readiness to provide mediation assistance to facilitate dialogue between Tehran and Tel Aviv, stressing the urgency of preventing further destabilization in the region.

"The presidents noted the need for a speedy end to the conflict between Iran and Israel and the intensification of diplomatic efforts," the Kremlin said in a statement, adding that both leaders agreed that the situation poses serious risks to the Middle East as a whole.

Putin also informed the UAE president of his recent discussions with several foreign leaders about the crisis and regional stability.

The call also highlighted Russia and the UAE's growing ties, with both sides expressing satisfaction with their political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation.
