Anadolu visited and documented Tehran’s Hazrat Rasoul Akram and Imam Khomeini hospitals, where civilians injured in Israeli attacks are being treated.

The Iranian Health Ministry said hospitals and ambulances were also directly targeted. Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi said three hospitals and six ambulances have been hit since June 13.

Anadolu spoke with hospital staff and victims, documenting their accounts of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Imam Khomeini Hospital Director Abdurrahman Rostamian told that “Israel is clearly targeting civilians and medical centers.

He urged the international community and media to help prevent further attacks on hospitals.

“Since the beginning of the attacks, we prepared to provide emergency services to the wounded,” he said.

According to Rostamian, 10 patients are currently being treated at his hospital, with some having died as a result of their injuries.

“We have 800 beds ready in case the number of injured increases,” he added.

In Iran, 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the Israeli assault, according to the Iranian Health Ministry.

At Hazrat Rasoul Akram Hospital, Chief Physician Hasan Emiri said about 70 patients have been treated since the attacks began.

He reported that two staff members were attacked in their homes; one was killed, and the other was injured and later discharged.

“Our hospital is fully prepared, and we face no shortages in medical supplies or equipment. We’re ready to provide all necessary care for the wounded,” Emiri noted.

Among the wounded is food courier Mustafa Ahmadi, who said: “I was delivering an order to an address on Behbudi Street when the building I was in was hit.”

He sustained injuries to his torso and head and remains under treatment.

Another victim, Masoumeh Kalbehani, described being injured during an attack in the Shahran district.

“Around 3.30 or 4.00 pm local time (1200GMT or 1230GMT), I heard a loud explosion. I rushed to escape but fell down the stairs. I lost consciousness and woke up in the hospital,” she said.

Ahmed Karimi said he was injured near fuel depots that were targeted on June 14, also in the Shahran area.
