Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas exports increased by 39.2 percent in 2014, compared to the previous year,聽the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) announced on Wednesday.
According EMRA's聽figures, in 2014聽Turkey exported 111,382 tons of LPG, while imports of LPG increased by 1.4 percent and reached聽3 million tons compared to 2013.
Switzerland became the first importer country from Turkey while it imported most of its LPG requirements from Algeria.聽聽
- LPG production in 2014
Turkey's LPG production saw an annual decrease in 2014聽by 34,968 tons聽and became 698,385 tons.
In addition, in the same period of time, bottled LPG sales decreased by 4.8 percent and bulk LPG sales dropped by 11.2 percent, while autogas sales聽increased by 4 percent.
In 2014 the total LPG sales increased by 1.64 percent聽compared to previous year.
