On Turkey's spot gas market on Tuesday, 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas hit the highest record this year to date at 2,275 liras, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data released on Wednesday.
The new record high set on Tuesday superseded the previous record of 2,249 liras recorded on Aug. 15.
The trade volume of Turkey's spot natural gas market decreased by 16.4% to 3.45 million Turkish liras on Tuesday. Total trade on Monday amounted to 4.13 million liras.
On Tuesday's spot market, the cumulative natural gas trade volume amounted to 1.51 million cubic meters.
Turkey received 142.2 million cubic meters of pipeline gas on Tuesday.
US$1 equals 8.44 Turkish liras at 1100 GMT on Wednesday.
