Latvia's electric power generation in January-February 2020 saw a 15.1% increase to 1,233 gigawatt-hours (GWh) compared to the same period last year, according to Baltic Course media outlet.
Hydropower plants generated the majority at around 761,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of electricity in the first two months of this year while thermal power stations generated 245,003 MWh of power.

Latvia consumed 1,281 GWh of electricity in the January-February 2020 period.
In February 2020, Latvia generated 97% of its electric consumption during the month, marking a 21% increase against the same period last year.
