Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 0.4% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 911,940 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,240 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,414 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 906,174 megawatt-hours on Thursday, which fell 0.3% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 19% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants contributed 17% and imported coal plants 13%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 7,816 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 13,581 megawatt-hours.
