Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.03% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 952,339 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,443 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,988 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 954,854 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a decrease of 0.05% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 21.5% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and imported coal plants contributed 15.5% and 14.2%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,397 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 9,884 megawatt-hours.
