Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.8% on Wednesday, compared to the previous day, totaling 929,929 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,202 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,143 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 918,325 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 0.74% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from wind plants constituted 20.1% of total generation, while hydroelectricity and imported coal plants contributed 16.5% and 14.3%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,349 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 11,077 megawatt-hours.
