Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 4.5% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 896,780 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,789 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 29,698 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 891,931 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, which rose 4.13% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from hydroelectricity plants constituted 17.6% of total generation, while natural gas plants contributed 15.6% and solar energy plants 13.4%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,835 megawatt-hours, and imports totaled 11,687 megawatt-hours.
