Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by less than 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 883,682 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,523 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,191 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 890,092 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.04% increase from Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 34,3% of total electricity consumption, wind plants contributed 17.9% while lignite plants comprised 13,9%.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,245 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 8,260 megawatt-hours.
