Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.08% to 760,161 megawatt-hours on Thursday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at local time 19.00 with 37,136 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,487 megawatt-hours at local time 05.00.
Electricity production totaled 761,882 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 1.85% increased compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 203,448 megawatt-hours. Natural gas and hydroelectric plants followed with 193,185 megawatt-hours and 131,973 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,182 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 8,460 megawatt-hours.
