Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 2.16% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 867,948 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday at 10.00 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 40,429 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,047 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 872,021 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 2.14% increase from Monday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 25.34% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 21.55%, while run-of-the-river plants held a 12.34% share.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 10,896 megawatt-hours, while imports total 7,044 megawatt-hours.
