Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.49% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, reaching 876,755 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 15.00 local time at 42,122 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,330 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 878,099 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.43% increase from Monday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 37.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants comprised 15.7%, while lignite plants held a 13.7% share.
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,416 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 6,365 megawatt-hours.
