Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 4.86% on Tuesday compared to the previous day to reach 810,892 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.�
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time reaching 39,249 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,018 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.�
Electricity production reached 817,902 megawatt-hours on Tuesday marking a 5% increase compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 34.47% of total electricity consumption on Tuesday, imported coal plants held a 23.79% share while hydro plants comprised 14.7%.�
On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,651 megawatt-hours while imports reached 1,640 megawatt-hours.�
