Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 3.2% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,016,114 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,096 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,008 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,027,101 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 3.2% compared to Wednesday.
Electricity production from imported coal plants constituted 18.8% of total generation, while natural gas and wind plants contributed 17.7% and 16.3%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 12,875 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 1,887 megawatt-hours.
