Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by 4.08% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 932,057 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,760 megawatt-hours at 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT), data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,988 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 934,201 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 4.08% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from imported coal constituted 25% of total generation, while hydroelectricity plants and natural gas plants contributed 22.7% and 13.8%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 6,293 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 4,151 megawatt-hours.
